Terms and Conditions
The client will agree to pay Savvy Edge Technologies, Inc (Savvy Edge) to repair, analyze and troubleshoot my computer hardware and/or software at a rate consistent with our pricing. Unless prior arrangement is made, payment is due in full upon completion of the job.
Savvy Edge reserves the right to sub-contract another IT company if a situation arises that requires it.
Savvy Edge will perform a diagnostic to determine the problem. This diagnostic will cost $50. Should the client decide to contract us to fix the problem, the $50 will be waived. Should the client elect to forgo the service, or opts to use another company, the $50 will be due.
Savvy Edge will not do any paid work without prior consent from the client. If, during the course of a repair, we find another problem with your system, we will do our best to contact you and give you an estimate before we do the additional work.
After a diagnostic, if the client has a written estimate from another company that shows the work can be done cheaper, Savvy Edge will attempt to beat that price. If we cannot beat the price, we will waive our diagnostic fee.
Savvy Edge will install any free programs that you grant permission or ask us to install. While we always try to do our best with the installations, some free software is problematic on some computer systems. If we install a free program for you, and you have problems with it, we will be happy to uninstall service, but we will not give free continued support on the product. Support given will be billed at our hourly rate.
If a format is required, then our technicians will need you to supply them with the installation disks for your operating system (Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista etc.) along with its product key. In addition, if there is any other software or devices that you would like our technicians to install in the event of a format, then you will need to provide us with the appropriate installation and product registration keys. If you do not have original discs, we would be happy to assist you in purchasing them. Savvy Edge can only use original installation discs. Due to piracy laws, we are unable to install burned discs of any commercial software.
Neither Savvy Edge Technology Inc, nor its agents will be held responsible for damages, data loss, or other incidental, consequential or special damages incurred during, or as a result of any repair or service provided. SAVVY EDGE WILL NOT BACK UP ANY DATA, SOFTWARE, INFORMATION OR FILES on your computer unless that service is specifically requested for the applicable fee. You agree that prior to beginning any service work, it is your responsibility to back up the data, software, information and any other files stored on your product.
Whether or not you request to have Savvy Edge back up your data, in no event shall Savvy Edge or it’s third party software and hardware providers, be liable under any circumstances for any loss, alteration or corruption of any data, information, files, or loss of media.
In addition, it is your responsibility to ensure compact discs, floppy disks, and any other removable media is removed from the product.
The client will indemnify and hold harmless Savvy Edge for any software repairs necessary after a virus has been detected and removed from a computer. Viruses in a computer system can cause many problems, and we cannot control what the virus affected before we removed it.
We offer a 7-day guarantee on our virus/malware removals. If within 14 days you suspect you have an instance of the virus returning, please contact us immediately. There is no guarantee or warranty that a virus will never get through any product through Savvy Edge, or any other brand on the market.
